GIVE HER HER FLOWERS
Happy Women’s History Month! There is a song by James Cleveland entitled “Give Me My Flowers”. Although this should be happening everyday, we should be intentional this month to give, if not physical flowers, words and acts of love. Throughout history, women have been looked over and omitted in a number of different areas. Something that seems so innate as women’s rights has only started being passed a little under 150 years ago with most of the national laws not enacted until as late as 1964. Women’s History Month wasn’t a national observance until 1984. Yup, that was only 51 years ago. This was possibly in your lifetime!
